Very nice restaurant. The garlic knots were delicious. 3 in our party of 6 had the Chicken Parm and it was good, but if you're expecting a thin cutlet, it's not like that. The marinara was ok not awesome, but better than most. The baked ziti was good and a huge portion. The balsamic salmon special was amazing as was the lobster bisque. We had the chocolate lava cake and tiramisu and they were very good. All of the portions were very big. I would go again - I'd like to try the pizza.

Great lunch experience! Garlic knots are the best! I like the raw taste of the garlic that made these knots special. I would recommend this restaurant to others

This is a great place to order take out from. Food is always hot at pick up and never make a mistake. Pastas could use a bit more sauce so we always order an extra side of it. Can't go wrong with any of the pizzas!

We've lived on the island for five years and it wasn't until just a few months ago that we checked out violas. It was such a great experience! Very busy - but great service and awesome food! Went back there for lunch just last week and ordered pizza... no doubt the best pizza on the island! Can't wait to go back!

We love Violas. The menu offers a variety of Italian dishes, and everything we have ordered has been delicious, without exception. The service is top class. Reservations strongly recommended because this restaurant is in high demand. Carry out is available, which we use mostly for their delicious pizza, but also works for other menu items. I prefer sitting in the bar area for dinner--allowing for conversations with other people, watching the kitchen, wait staff activity, etc. My husband likes the individual dining tables for more privacy. Either way, take the seating offered and just enjoy the fabulous food. Violas is worth it.

If you are looking for a good Italian meal, look no further. I must have driven past this place a hundred times and never noticed it. What it lacks in curb appeal, it more than makes up for in flavor. The restaurant in small inside and very popular so I definitely recommend making a reservation, or grabbing food to go. I was looking for nearby Italian food that wasn't from a chain restaurant. Luckily, my husband read the reviews on Violas, and we decided to give it a try. It was a Friday night, and they were packed. Good thing they have the hidden parking lot in the back. We didn't have a reservation, which I highly recommend, but the hostess was on it! We were able to get seated but had to sit at the bar. No problems there, my friend, I enjoy a good glass of wine. Sorry fellas, no old fashioned here. They only serve beer and wine. We ordered the toasted raviolis for an appetizer, which were delicious, along with a small pizza to share. The pizza was not so small, it's a good thing we were hungry. For the main meal, I ordered chicken parmesan. I subbed penne for spaghetti and asked for vodka sauce, and it was delicious. The portions are large, and they don't skimp on the sauce. The other members of my party got fish and chips and eggplant rolletini and raved respectively about their meals as well. Sadly, I didn't have room for dessert. No worries, I will be back to right that wrong.

My friend Todd recommended this joint, Todd well special in his own ways, is not know for having a great foodie mind! However, he nailed this place!! My smoke show of a wife had pasta with vodka sauce, WONDERFUL!!! I had lasagna, it was very very good!! Todd had spicy sausage, terrific!!! Sexy Lynn had a pizza and it was definitely a must have when we go back!! We would split a pie as an appetizer at the very least. It was super tasty and my fat ass knows good pie!! The garlic bread loaf is also a must have! Get some

The St Augustine area has so many great restaurants and Violas is on that list. Following the holidays my wife and I came in the first weekend in January looking for a place we haven't been. We had always had Violas on the places to try. We made a call for reservations around 3 pm on a Friday (yeah like that was going to happen) and with a little work and patience we had 4:45 reservations. The Chicken parm and seafood Diablo were tasty and the wine we paired was a nice fruit forward bottle for $50 which was well worth it. Our server Dave (Wolf) was a pleasure and more importantly my wife and I are looking forward to a return for a pizza and wine.

So Violas has me under their spell..LOL. The atmosphere is just wonderful. The service is always impeccable. The food is amazeballs. I had the cannonball shrimp and wowzers it was dynamite. My entree was veal parmesan. Perfect serving size, the beal was tender and the sauce is haunting my tasted buds as I type this information. My wife had the parmesan crusted mah mahi with spinach and potatoes. She says it was amazing and looms forward to our next St Aug trip to Violas. Oh and the fried cheesecake is outta this world! Thank You Violas!
